Scotland’s national competition which recognises and celebrates excellence in the Scottish commercial and public property sector has announced the recipient of its 2022 Business Leadership Award.

James Barrack, Chairman and Founder of Knight Property Group, will be presented with the ultimate individual award in recognition of his contribution to Scottish real estate, business and local communities.

The award comes as he celebrates 35 years in business this year.  In 1987, he launched Knight Property Group and he has driven growth and development across the logistics, office, industrial and trade counter sectors. He has continued to develop and trade in geographical locations across Scotland.

The award, sponsored by Bank of Scotland, will be presented at next week’s Scottish Property Awards which is expected to attract 700 professionals from the property sector.

In 2009, James Barrack founded his own charitable trust, to assist organisations cope with the decrease in charitable donations due to the economic climate faced at the time. The Trust and Knight Property Group has donated more than £1.5m to around 200 registered charities all over Scotland.
