Major transactions in commercial and public real estate which have been completed in 2023 are now being considered as part of the annual Scottish Property Awards which takes place February.

Sponsored by PMP, The Deal of the Year Award rewards teams of people completing large, complex or risky commercial real estate deals in sales or lettings.

The winning deal team will be chosen by the judging panel and announced at the awards ceremony which takes place on Thursday 29 February 2024 in Glasgow.

Stewart Rutherford, Managing Director of PMP, sponsors of the award, commented;

“It’s been a challenging year for many in the property sector, but deals are still being done and PMP are very proud to support the Deal of the Year Award at the Scottish Property Awards.  We are working in teams across all aspects of the property development process including developers, agents, lawyers, and others who thrive in the transactional side of Scottish commercial property. We wish everyone nominated for awards in February the very best of luck.”

Deals are assessed by the judging panel for their complexity, risk, significance, sustainability impact and size. Leases, Pre-lets, acquisitions and disposals are all considered with the only restriction on the timing being that the deal must have been completed between the period of January 2023 – January 2024.

The 2023 winner of Deal of the Year announced in February was presented to Quartermile Developments for their ambitious Lease to Edinburgh City Council for the new Hyatt Centric Hotel as part of the Haymarket Development.
