Glasgow played host last night to the largest celebration in the Scottish property calendar, as the winners of the 13th Annual Scottish Property Awards were revealed. The event, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, welcomed over 600 industry leaders and professionals for an evening dedicated to recognising excellence across Scotland’s dynamic real estate sector.

Now in its 13th year, the Scottish Property Awards remains an independent competition honouring achievement in property development, investment, agency, finance, architecture and professional services. This year’s judging panel — made up of leading industry experts — reviewed an exceptional standard of entries from across the country, reflecting the strength, resilience and innovation within the market.

The most prestigious award of the evening, Property Company of the Year, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, was presented to Drum Property Group. The judges highlighted the company’s sustained growth, ambitious development pipeline and continued contribution to transformative projects across Scotland.

The highly anticipated Deal of the Year, sponsored by PMP, was awarded for the landmark transaction at Port Hamilton, Edinburgh. The deal brought together Drum Property, Hamilton PropCo, Knight Frank, CBRE, HSBC Asset Management, Brodies LLP, Morton Fraser, MacRoberts, Pinsent Masons and Lloyds Banking Group. Judges praised the scale, complexity and strategic significance of the transaction within the Scottish investment market.

The Business Leadership Award, sponsored by Pluto Finance, was presented to Les McAndrew, Senior Partner at Graham + Sibbald. Judges commended his long-standing contribution to the profession, respected leadership and enduring influence within Scotland’s property sector.

The evening also had a strong charitable focus. The Scottish Property Awards was proud to partner with Spifox as charity partner for the awards, with an impressive £11,941 raised on the night to support vital charitable work.

At the start of the evening Spifox, alongside CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland), introduced The Spifox Charity Fundraising Champion of the Year Award. This new award will be presented to the company that raises the most funds over the next year for a chosen children’s charity project.

The inaugural project selected by Spofox is CHAS and their More Than a Hospice Appeal, which aims to comprehensively redevelop Rachel House Hospice. Further details about this new award initiative and how companies can get involved will be announced in the coming weeks.

The 13th Annual Scottish Property Awards once again demonstrated the ambition, expertise and collaborative strength of Scotland’s property industry. From transformative regeneration projects and landmark transactions to technical excellence, inclusive leadership and charitable commitment, this year’s winners exemplify the very best of the sector.

Congratulations to all finalists and winners for their outstanding contribution to Scotland’s built environment.
