At the start of the evening during the 13th Annual Scottish Property Awards, we were proud to introduce a brand new award with a very special purpose: The Spifox Charity Fundraising Champion of the Year.

This new award has been created to recognise the incredible generosity and community spirit within Scotland’s property industry, while raising vital funds for an important children’s charity project.

The rules for the award are simple. Over the next 12 months, the award will be presented to the company that raises the most funds in support of a chosen children’s charity project.

For the inaugural year, the selected charity partner is Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and their “More Than a Hospice Appeal”, which will support the comprehensive redevelopment of Rachel House Hospice.

This initiative brings together SPIFOX — Scotland’s Property Industry Charity, the Scottish Property Awards, and a truly significant building project that will make a lasting difference for children and families across Scotland.

The redevelopment of Rachel House Hospice is a vital project designed to ensure that children with life-shortening conditions and their families receive the highest level of care and support in a modern, welcoming and purpose-built environment.

By taking part in this challenge, companies across the property sector will play an important role in helping CHAS deliver this ambitious and essential project.

Rami Okasha, Chief Executive Officer, CHAS commented:
“We are deeply honoured that CHAS has been selected as the inaugural charity partner for the Spifox Charity Fundraising Champion of the Year award. Our heartfelt thanks go to Spifox and the Scottish Property Awards for championing this initiative and for recognising the vital importance of supporting children with life-shortening conditions and their families. The generosity, drive and community spirit across Scotland’s property industry never fail to inspire us. Together, we can ensure the redevelopment of Rachel House becomes a reality - creating a modern, welcoming environment where families receive the care, comfort and compassion they deserve.”

To underline the commitment of the Scottish property industry to supporting children’s charities, SPIFOX will match the amount raised by the winning company over the next 12 months, up to £50,000.

This means the impact of the winning company’s fundraising efforts could be doubled, helping to deliver even greater support to the CHAS appeal.
