Outstanding deals completed in 2022 in commercial and public real estate are now being considered as part of the annual celebration of the Scottish Property Awards taking place in 8 weeks’ time.

The PMP Deal of the Year rewards teams of people completing large, complex or risky commercial real estate deals in sales or lettings.

The winning deal team will be decided by the judging panel and announced at the awards ceremony which takes place on Thursday 23 February 2023 at the EICC.

Stewart Rutherford, Managing Director of PMP, sponsors of the award since 2016, commented:

“The PMP Deal of the Year is unique at the Scottish Property Awards because it is the only award presented to a team of different businesses working together in transactions. PMP are really pleased to offer our congratulations to the developers, agents, lawyers, and others who thrive in the transactional side of Scottish commercial property. We are looking forward to celebrating with everyone in February.”

Deals are assessed by the judging panel for their complexity, risk, significance and size. Leases, Pre-lets, acquisitions and disposals are all considered with the only restriction on the timing which states that the deal must have completed between the period January 2022 – January 2023.

This year’s winner of Deal of the Year announced in March was the large scale pre-let at Buchanan Wharf, Glasgow which was presented to Drum Property Group, Legal and General Investment, JLL, Avison Young, Brodies, MacRoberts and Addleshaw Goddard.
